Are You a Lifter or a Leaner?
There are two kinds of politicians, those who are working for themselves and their careers, and those who are actually working for We the People; the problem is the “good guys” are few and far between

I was talking to someone recently who commented that we are in a civil war; not a battlefield war but a political war and that there are three sides. He explained that the democrats are fighting the republicans – really, they’re fighting President Trump. Then we have the republican conservatives (mostly Constitutional) fighting the RINOs who claim to be conservative but are truly Globalists… like the Marxist democrats.
Democrats are Marxist and although they use the word Constitutional, their actions and words are contrary to the Constitution of the United States of America. In the eyes of democrats, and their activists, any policy coming out of the current administration is unconstitutional, simply because they do not agree with it. They are okay with fraud and the theft of billions of dollars from the American people, so they are adamantly against any further investigation to uncover additional fraud.
While the sitting republicans outnumber the democrats, certain republicans will cross the aisle and side with democrats. The SAVE Act is an example. Mitch McConnell used to be for voter identification, now he – or perhaps his handlers – are in a quandary as to a yes or no vote. Lisa Murkowski from Alaska is considering voting no, as is Susan Collins from Maine. Those two women are always in a quandary, until somebody promises them something. Murkowski stated, “It is not how we build trust.” Trust from whom, Lisa? The American people or the political machine? From the very little I have searched, while Senators Rick Scott, Mike Lee and Ron Johnson are fighting hard to bring all republicans together, Senate Majority Leader John Thune is “undecided.” That is NOT a good thing!
We cannot ignore the politics or the politicians of today, America. Only two democrat senators are supporting the SAVE Act, John Fetterman from Pennsylvania and Henry Cuellar from Texas.
I want to give you something to consider here… The majority of Americans want Voter ID. While this does direct the states regarding their voter rolls and voter identification, this is regarding the safety of our Federal Presidential Elections only. It’s a commonsense Act that will secure that our American elections are for Americans! The rhetoric about racism and making it harder to vote is a blatant LIE; gaslighting Americans, as politicians often do.
Since these politicians love the Constitution so very much, why was it in 1913 that the election of Senators changed. No longer appointed by the state legislators, now senators are elected by a popular vote. With enough money you can come from say… Arkansas… and run for senator in New York.
Today’s senators no longer feel obligated to their state or constituents. Thirty-five states already have Voter ID laws in place. Yet every single democrat (with the exception of 2) are pledging to vote against their state and against the wishes of their constituents. That is not representation; that is dictatorial politics. The same is true for those few anti-SAVE Act republicans.
I’m of the opinion, that until we repeal the 17th Amendment, Americans will never have true representation in the Senate! Since a repeal would have to come out of congress itself, I don’t see those folks voting to be held accountable to their State Legislators or rightfully representing their constituents.
Maybe Senator Murkowski is correct: with every congressional vote, these folks lose the trust of We the People. The elected in Congress can’t and won’t assure us safety, they spend money we don’t have, as we watch them get richer and richer… while We the People struggle to make ends meet.
There are two kinds of politicians, those who are working for themselves and their careers, and those who are actually working for We the People; the problem is the “good guys” are few and far between.
Our nation seems to be in a great divide, politically and culturally. Somewhere along the line we’ve actually forgotten who America is; We the People. I watch the violence and the foul language of people and I wonder, “How can people hate so much?” I listen to Americans that want to be taken care of and then they gripe about that as well.
Liberty is always in the hands of the people but first it must be a longing and a lust within their hearts. Even though it would seem we cannot count on our elected officials to “do the right thing,” I still believe in We the People. It is up to us to stand together.
I stumbled on this poem written long ago, in a time when Americans cared about morals and being good citizens… we never hear that anymore:
“Two Kinds of People”
By Ella Wheeler Wilcox
(1850–1919)
There are two kinds of people on earth today,
Two kinds of people no more I say.
Not the good or the bad, for it’s well understood,
The good are half bad, the bad are half good.
Not the happy or sad, for in the swift-flying years,
Bring each man his laughter, each man his tears.
Not the rich or the poor, for to count a man’s wealth,
You must know the state of his conscience and health.
Not the humble and proud, for in life’s busy span,
Who puts on vain airs is not counted a man.
No! the two kinds of people on earth I mean,
Are the people who lift, the people who lean.
Wherever you go you’ll find the world’s masses
Are ever divided into these two classes.
And, strangely enough, you will find, too, I mean,
There is only one lifter to twenty who lean.
In which class are you? Are you easing the load
Of the overtaxed lifters who toiled down the road?
Or are you a leaner who lets others bear,
Your portion of worry and labor and care?”
Be a lifter and together let’s Bring America Home©
